About the author:

Linda Anne Chapman was born in 1969 in Liverpool, UK. She trained to be a teacher and then went to work in the theatre as a stage manager and then did loads of other jobs including working at Waterstones; being a nanny, a dog trainer, working at a university, teaching after school drama classes, tutoring while she wrote in her spare time and sent manuscripts off to publishers. She has now been writing full time for ten years and has written over 120 books. Her first book called Bunny Bonanza was published in 1999. She currently lives in a village in Leicestershire with her husband Peter, daughters Iola (9) and Amany (6), son Spike (2) a Bernese Mountain dog, Pepper and Golden Retriever, Simba.

Lee Weatherly has been born in 1967 and grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. Her first book, 'Child X', was published in June 2002 and was shortlisted for the Sheffield Book Award, the Leicester Book Award, the Red House Children's Book Award, and was chosen by the American Library Association as one of their 'Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers'. Lee's second book, another contemporary teenage novel, was published in July 2004. Lee works from home, writing and doing freelance editorial work. Her hobbies include reading, dancing, cooking and walking. She's also very interested in helping talented teenage writers. She lives with her husband in Hampshire, England, where she writes, goes on walks, collects frogs, and has a cat named Bernard. Lee Weatherly also writes under the pseudonyms L.A. Weatherly, Kitty Wells, and Titania Woods.
