About the Book :
Dork ended with Robin 'Einstein' Varghese becoming Associate at Dufresne Partners. He's just appeared on CNBC's Young Turks. And his girlfriend Gouri has proposed bondage and a threesome.
In Dork 2 Einstein is working on the Lederman project for Dufresne. His current goal: a lucrative secondment opportunity in London that will pay London-level salaries and banker-level bonuses.
Sure that the job will be his, Einstein begins to steeply increase his standard of living. Gouri, convinced that Einstein may be embezzling funds from the Dufresne office, asks a friend to shadow him. Einstein, however, is convinced that this man is a Lederman recruiter doing background checks.
It's blunders galore when Einstein is asked to conduct a management simulation workshop for B-school students from all over India and forgets to replace real company names in his case studies with fake ones. There's chaos in the stock markets. As Einstein broadcasts these developments on Twitter and Facebook, his accounts get a cult following and he's hailed as a stock markets genius.
Dufresne takes Einstein off the project and asks him to work with TruthSoft, an IT company based in Mumbai, instead. They hire a new banking expert from McKinsey and Co. and soon both the newbie and Einstein embark on a war of political manoeuvres to win the coveted Lederman secondment. When the TruthSoft CEO confesses to several years of misreported profits and revenues, he names Einstein as one of his closest confidantes in the company.
As an immediate face-saving measure, Dufresne terminates Einstein's employment and publicly denounces their association with him.
